BUSINESS
CARDS
Of course
we print
business cards!
Everyone needs an easy way to exchange contact information.
But these days, business cards are so much more. They can be:
Mini Advertisements
Appointment Cards
Loyalty Cards
Novelty Promotions
And there are so many types...
1-Sided
vs 2-Sided
A double-sided card is the best value for spreading your message around but sometimes a minimal approach is enough.
Black-Only
vs Full-Colour
Sometimes, with the right design on the right paper, black only printing is the elegant choice. Other designs look best in full colour as they were intended.
Embossed
We have the equipment to stamp in a pressed texture. This can be a logo or a design element.
Hot-Stamped Foils
This isn’t just a gold foil. We have a range of metallic and not-metallic foils to choose from, including holographic foils.
Laminated
vs Natural
Did you want the natural feel of the paper to be part of your impression that you make?
Or maybe you would like a matt or gloss finish to your cards.
Spot UV Gloss
This process is a thick printed gloss layer where you would like it. Can be used for large type of highlighting certain areas like photos. The glossy look works especially well with a matt lamination.
Die-Cut Shapes & Rounded Corners
If a rectangular card is not for you, we have the ability to change the finished shape of your cards.
Supplying Artwork
Business cards can be made using various software. When supplying finished print-ready files, a pdf file is preferred.
Objects in the artwork, like type or logos, will print crisper from a pdf. Although this can be created in a photo editing app, such as Photoshop, it’s not good practice. The letters will be rendered at the image quality resolution, which in most cases, isn’t high enough. This would result in either mildly blurry type and a possibility to see the pixels (that are the tiny squares that make up the image).
90x55mm is the standard business card size for business cards in New Zealand. If you are supplying artwork, the finished pdf artwork will probably require 3mm bleed. This will add 3mm to each edge and then the total size of the card will be 96x61mm.
Files should be supplied as pdfs with a reasonable quality. Pixel artwork can be pdf, jpg, or psd. Again, if you are having trouble deciding, just get in touch with us. It’s our job to help you get things printed!
QR Codes have never been easier to use. Most phone’s photo app will pick up and scan a code. These can make it easy for you to direct traffic to your website or anything else like an online video that showcases your product or service.
